International Games Day at Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, February 10

The Corvallis-Benton County Public Library will join thousands in celebrating International Games Day @ Your Library, highlighting the popularity and power of games and play, on Saturday, November 4th. The celebration will continue monthly through April.

Join the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library and over a thousand libraries around the world in celebrating International Games Day @ Your Library on Saturday, November 4th from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM in the Main Meeting Room. A wide variety of board games, card games, and video games for all ages will be free to play on a first-come, first-served basis. Examples of games that will be available to play include classic favorites such as Candyland, Chutes & Ladders, Monopoly, Scrabble, Chess, and Checkers; new standards such as Settlers of Catan, Forbidden Island, Apples to Apples, and Pandemic; and various video games for consoles such as Xbox One. Attendees may drop in at any time during the event to try new games, play old favorites, or simply watch all of the fun.

This event kicks off a monthly gaming meetup at the library for all ages that will continue through April 14th. On the 2nd Saturday of every month from December – April (Dec. 9th, Jan. 13th, Feb. 10th, Mar. 10th, and Apr. 14th) all ages are invited to play board games, card games, and video games in the library’s Main Meeting Room.

International Games Day @ Your Library is an international initiative supported by the American Library Association, the Australian Library and Information Association, and Nordic Game Day.
